Multi-stakeholder Dialogue

Facilitating Multi-stakeholder Dialogue

As the problems facing leaders become increasingly complex, there is rarely (if ever) one right answer or a single perspective that will provide the direction necessary to address those problems. On sales teams, in boardrooms, throughout government departments, leaders must consult broadly, seeking perspectives from multiple stakeholders to inform, develop, and execute Multi-stakeholder dialogue (MSD) is a mechanism through which the wide range of stakeholders at the national and sub-national level, engaged in promoting women’s and children’s health, can better identify challenges, align action, improve implementation of essential RMNCH interventions, and assure accountability for resources and results. These stakeholders vary in each context and may include policy-makers in health and related sectors, healthcare professionals and institutions, non-governmental organizations, civil society groups, multilaterals, researchers and academics, the private sector, and donors.
