Joel Lee Tye Beng

Joel Lee Tye Beng is an Associate Professor at the Law Faculty of the National University of Singapore.? An Honors graduate of the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, Joel spent two years in a New Zealand legal practice before returning to Singapore to take up a teaching position at the Faculty. He went on to obtain his Masters of Law at Harvard Law School, focusing on Negotiation and Mediation.
Joel has been involved in training negotiation and mediation since 1993 and runs the Negotiation and Mediation workshops at the Faculty of Law. He has also taught overseas at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), University of Law, Economics and Science of Aix-Marseille (Aix-en-Provence France) and Anglia Law School (UK).
Joel has served as an external consultant and lecturer in these subjects for the Advanced Diploma in Police Studies at Temasek Polytechnic, the MBA Programme at Nanyang Technological University and the MBA and M.Sc Programmes at the National University of Singapore. He was also on the Faculty from 1999 to 2005 for the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy Executive Programes on "Effective Negotiation in an Era of Rapid Change" and "Negotiating Leadership"done in conjunction with NUS, Conflict Management Partners and the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
Joel is an accredited mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre, and a Certified Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (American Board of NLP). His corporate clients include the Singapore Institute of Management, Service Quality Centre, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, The Government Insurance Corporation of Singapore, SingTel, IE Singapore, Freshfields and the EDB.
