Stacy Heen is a Partner with CMPartners. As a negotiation and conflict management trainer, facilitator and coach with experience in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, and North America, Stacy's work spans contexts from supporting a consensus building process for a major public infrastructure project to using "sports diplomacy" to foster warmer relations between the United States and Iran.
Since 1996, Stacy has designed and delivered customized learning initiatives around strategic negotiation, facilitation, consensus building, and difficult conversations. Her work focuses on helping clients more clearly and explicitly link thought, action, and results, whether the client's goal is to create a successful joint venture, increase sales, better manage a struggling team, or improve a relationship with a crucial supplier, customer, or stakeholder.
Stacy's corporate clients have included Alcatel-Lucent, Boeing, Capital One, Chevron, General Mills, Marsh & McLennan, Standard Bank, and Vestas, among others. In the public sector, she has worked with humanitarian agencies delivering aid in conflict zones, UNAIDS, the World Health Organization, the World Bank Group, Ethiopian parliamentarians, emerging leaders in Dubai, and the Singapore Police Force. In the academic realm, Stacy has taught as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University Law Center and as a longtime teaching assistant at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. She has worked with cadets at The Citadel, Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot students, and with students at several other universities. Stacy is an experienced facilitator and a certified mediator, and has published articles on links between community conflict, development, and microfinance.
Stacy holds a master's degree in international relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, and Master of City Planning and Bachelor of Science degrees from MIT.
