Transaction/Relationship Support and Advice
Where a client need or concern is related to the negotiation of a specific transaction, or the repair and rebuilding of a critical relationship, CMPartners acts as an adviser and/or a facilitator.
Acting in a partisan role, we assist in the negotiation of important transactions or disputes. Such assistance can include:
- Assisting in clarifying goals or measures of success for the transaction;
- Mapping and analyzing parties;
- Understanding decision processes;
- Generating and evaluating possible options for agreement and alternatives to agreement;
- Analyzing relationships and developing strategies and actions to rebuild damaged relationships;
- Building communication strategies, including internal and external sequencing and coordination;
Acting in a neutral role, we facilitate the settlement of complex disputes. Such roles can include:
- Conducting a diagnostic study to identify challenges and strategies to overcome such challenges;
- Facilitating joint brainstorming among parties, often within strict confidentiality;
- Building common tools, approaches and processes to resolving conflicts among parties; and
- Designing and implementing conflict management processes and protocols
Acting in a partisan or neutral role, we assist in the design, launch, and management of critical external relationships, such as those dealing with strategic alliances, joint ventures and development agreements, or key sourcing and customer agreements.
