Ong Jin Hui

Ong Jin Hui is a freelance consultant and a representative of CMPartners in Asia. His main focus is in public policy and public management consultancies. His projects have taken him to Brunei, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, China, and Dubai. He has published many books, papers and articles on sociology and policy issues.
Jin Hui has acted as consultant to government organizations, including the Singapore Police Force, Central Narcotics Bureau and Home Affairs and Defense. He has also provided policy recommendations for private companies in Singapore. He spent much of his career at the National University of Singapore, joining the faculty as a lecturer in the Sociology Department. He went on to serve as Department Head and then Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Science. He later became the Director of the Center for Advance Studies at the University where he launched the University’s Public Policy Programme which subsequently became the Lee Kuan Yew School of Government. He served the LKY School for a period as a consultant.
Jin Hui received a BA in Social Science Honours (First) from the then University of Singapore, and a Masters and a PhD in Sociology from Indiana University.
